I left the army in 1989 and after five years on the staff of Massey university in Palmerston North and Albany campus, I spent five years as executive officer at Orewa college, living at Red Beach. The last five years I have spent in Mt Maunganui as manager of Ocean Shores retirement village. I now have four grandchildren with my daughter still in Palmerston North and son in Waiuku. I attended the Parkinson class reunion in February 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with other "clubbies", staff and especially "the rock", Tiny Hill. Flattery, Hammond, Manson and Gilbert have continued to get together here in Mt Maunganui for repeats of the "grudge" game of golf they played at the reunion. Having been both a cadet and staff member, I have very fond memories of both periods at the RF Cadet School. Mike Flattery (Cdt Ret)
