Hi, On stepping off the train at Waiouru Station around 24th January 1966 after my first trip outside the mainland, I was a very nervous country boy of 15 years. On graduation in Dec 1968 I was a much changed, confident member of the NZArmy. The years at RF Cadet school have never left me and the training and guidance stood me in good stead for my adult years. After graduation I was posted to 10 Transport Coy Linton (My Heros), then to 3 Transport at Burnham. Finishing my Army career as an Instructor for the final NTSU intake of 1970. Drove trucks for the next 5 years for many different companys but mainly rural and long distance. Got sick of that and joined the RNZAF as a GSI at GSTU Wigram then Cadet School Woodburne. When the opportunity arose to change trade to Photographer, I jumped at it. Spent the next 10 years touring the bases and country enjoying the best job in the forces. Left RNZAF in 1990, worked for various photgraphic companys (Langwoods, Multi Products,) bought camera shop in Riccarton Mall ChCh, sold to Kodak, sold Real Estate for a while, worked in Retail (Noel Leemings, Computer City) for 9 years then started Internet marketing with Open2view.com in Canterbury. Now own franchise for Canterbury south. Married for 26 years with teenage boy.
