Graduated end of 72 to 2 Const Sqn RNZE to continue trade as chippie. Got posted around Linton for a while. Completed trade then another change of trade to Plant Op. (Go the Argo Road) Progressed from there and retired 20yrs later as Senior WO Plant Instr SME Linton. Got out and did "stuff" for 6 months then got a plant job in P/Nth. Too much like being on T.O.D again, away a lot so ended up with job at P/Nth city council in civil defence. Lots of ex green machine folk around in council. Moved on from there after 8 yrs to Horizons Regional Council, based in P/Nth doing emergency management. Great place to work, good people (and a couple of ex clubbies working there but I'll let them tell you about that). Still catch up with a few of the RNZE now and again, ANZAC days always a biggie for a catch up.
