Left in 71 and posted to 2/1Bn at Burnham for Corp training then posted NSTU in Waiouru for a short spell before back to Bn and thence to Singapore in 75-77. Bailed out of the green machine in 77 and then joined Police in 78 until 86. Springbok Tour was an interesting highlight of that time. Bailed from the Police and settled on Waiheke Island in 86 and took time out from life generally. Established a Charitable Trust for At Risk young people from the proceeds of an annual run, wife and I created on the Island. Still the hardest 25kms in the country. Left the Island in 02 and moved to Chch. While on the island owned a 10 ac block and used it for raising foster kids after my three > left home. Have been married to the same woman for 34 years this year (07)with three adult children, 32, 29 and 25 and am currently a full time student working my way through a BA/LLB at UC.
