One year in Cadets as Vehicle Mech, graduated 1974 and shipped off to Linton and 1 Gen troops to complete my apprenticeship. All up spent eight and a half fun years in the Army. My final two years in S'pore with the NZ Army Band. After the army, I joined a remedial engineering construction company based in Masterton. I spent in all 12 years with this company living in Palmerston Nth, PNG and Christchurch. Still in Christchurch, but since 1996 made a career change and am now working with the Christchurch City council in the water services unit.
