"Discharged from RNZE in 1961 to try primary teaching but didn't like it so travelled for three years before enrolling at Canterbury University; ending with an MA in History. Subsequent career in print and radio journalism in NZ, Oz and the UK. Currently retired after 14 years as News Editor of the Press Association and happy running my own Graphic Design business. NZ marriage foundered (surprise, surprise) in 1973 but remarried Pommy girl and still with her, two dogs, two horses and an eight acre small holding 25miles south of London. Would like to hear from anyone I knew, and particularly anyone who was also a friend of Brian Sloper as I was very upset when reading about his death. Finally, Gus Thomas, if you're out there, get in touch!!"
