Graduated in to the RNZAC, and reached the rank of Sgt before leaving the army in December 2004 to pursue a career in Civil Engineering based in Otaki ( Kapiti Coast ). I've served on three operational tours, two to Bosnia (1994-95, 1999-2000), and one to East Timor in 2001. I have spent all but one year in Waiouru, and it may sound odd...but I miss the place. I have a wife and one son (Tracey & Richmond), as well as an alaskan Malamute dog which I hope to sled race when she's mature. I have played rugby league for two provinces, and selected for the army team but didn't play for the army as it clashed with a provincial match. Love fishing, motorbikes, mountain biking (novice),cabinet making among other things. left the army as I didn't like the direction the new army was going, but had things remained the same, there's no doubt I'd still be there. Graduated to the RNZAC. Spent all my time in Waibaria, and actually like the place. Have had two postings to Bosnia (94-95, 99-2000), and am waiting to go to Timor in May (joy). Really looking forward to the death of my corps at the end of the year, thanks to our beloved CGS & Co. Married to Leigha in Dec' 00, great day it was too. Not a bad little Army we have, leaning a bit too heavily on the touchy/feely side lately though. Interested in hearing from any ex clubbies. E-mail is pukapuka08@hotmail.com.
