I joined in 1980 as a chef. Still have good memoties of Cadets. Between Cadets and the Army I had a great grounding for what life waqs to throw at us. I got out in 1989, from 1 green machine to another. Am now a cooking instructor with the NZ Prison Service.. I am still married to my first wife Sandra and have 4 children. Oldest is 21 amd in that other Service (which some of enjoyed time with at Ft Cautley) tghe Navy, aand youngest just started Secondary School. I have done so many things since I have been out but have only had the 1 job. Hooked into the Super still. Fantastic to see some of the names who we worked with. had good Cadet times and have lost contact with since. The army is certainly an experience you never lose during your life
