Signed my MD717 and departed RNZSigs in July 1992. Joined the United Nations Field Service as a U.N. Radio Operator and was posted to the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL). Served 9 months and then in May 93 got a TOD to the United Nations Iraq / Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM) along the Iraq/Kuwait border. Branched into an administrative post mid 95 and was responsible for monitoring/inspecting all mission purchases, deliveries for approx US$30 million a year. Mar 98 reassigned back to UNIFIL and presently working as a Contracts Officer monitoring the purchase of fresh/dry/frozen/ chilled rations for 6 Battalions (4500 soldiers) in South Lebanon. Wife Amelia, sons David & Mathew.
