Good to see a few familiar names from my class on this section, like Pete Wehi, Neil Wren, Mark Te-Ahuahu and George Topia. I served 23 years and did most of that time in RNZEME (now RNZALR Workshops) units as an auto parts supplier. I ended up as the RQ of 1 RNZIR before calling it quits. My hi-lights would had to have been the overseas postings which I was fortunate to get on many throughout my career in particular to Singapore and Somalia. I then did a short stint as a corrections officer and decided to up stakes with the family and go to Thailand (my wifes Thai). We've been here since Jan 03. I'm currently teaching English (go figure) at a high school here full time and we have a bit of land where we farm cows and grow oranges. Life's good but I miss the simple things in life like fish 'n' chips and pies. Rugby's on tap as I've got the local version of Sky, if you were wondering. My wife Sirin and I have 2 children.
