From Cadets to RNZEME at A&G Workshops, Trentham and Torpedo Bay, Devonport, Auckland. Left Army in 1957, worked at Tasman Empire Airways as instrument fitter, then at Colonial Sugar Coy as fitter. In 1962 rejoined the Govt as Prison Officer at Waikeria, working with Kevin Jennings ex-Miles Coy, transferring to workshops as fitting and turning instructor when vacancy arose. After nearly 30 years retired to Rotorua, went fishing. In 1997 emigrated to Queensland to be with parents and family. Have five children, nine grand-children and as yet one great-grand-child. Fit and well and enjoying life to the full, of course. Cheers to all old friends and acquaintances.
