Joined 1983, 4 Platoon. Graduated into RNZCT, 10 Tpt Reg. Posted to 9 Comp, 2 Comp, NZMP Unit Singapore. 717 in Dec 1989, moved to Queensland, Australia, played rugby and drank too much, good bye to the super. March 1991 Moved to the UK, played rugby, had a good time not a long time. Dec 1991 moved to Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Drove trucks, played rugby etc. 1995 got married, joined the Northern Territory Police.Currently a Detective Sergeant in the NT Police, two kids, happily married and too busted up to play rugby anymore. One year in Cadets as Vehicle Mech, graduated 1974 and shipped off to Linton and 1 Gen troops to complete my apprenticeship. All up spent eight and a half fun years in the Army. My final two years in S'pore with the NZ Army Band. After the army, I joined a remedial engineering construction company based in Masterton. I spent in all 12 years with this company living in Palmerston Nth, PNG and Christchurch. Still in Christchurch, but since 1996 made a career change and am now working with the Christchurch City council in the water services unit. Hi everyone been meaning to do this for years.after finishing 10 years,left and went to tiwai point aluminium smelter for 21 years as fitter. the beautiful weather of nelson lured my wife and kids up here in 1998. worked for a while at sanfords fish factory, then a stint at brightwater engineers and finally to where i am now at nelson pine industries, golden edge plant where i have been for the last 4 years, still working on the floor albeit at a slower pace, still have the occassional beer or 3 and still loving life. been with wife for a bloody lifetime now (30yrs) and have heaps of grandkids so am never bored, would love to hear from you, cheers mac

I live and work in Newman, West Aust with BHP mining ore. Been married now divorced (12yrs) but have a nice daughter and son and now am a recent grandad(from daughter). I'd like to make contact with any who recall me and to reminisce about "the good old days". I got naturalised 9th Sep 85 but I've visited my family many times. I did an apprenticeship in Waiouru at the Catering School to become a chef, although I haven't used that skill in many a year since coming here. Hi I have a pub in Ward, Marlborough. My wife Amy runs the pub while I do a bit of security work off shore. Life is pretty good, We have 3 children and plenty to do. Returned to RNZAF Hobby then back to Wellington in 1991. Remained in JCIS until retiring after 20 years service in mid 98. I am now computer contracting and have worked in 8 countries so far. McKenzie (Burrows class)Always look back on my time with RFCU with pride and fond memories.After graduating I was posted to Burnham with the 2/1 batallion.In May 1979 I went to Singapore with 1RNZIR.On returning to NZ in May 1979 I left the army.After a few stints in Aussie and differing places around NZ I settled down at Ruatapu just south of Hokitika.I am a family man with three kids ranging from 11 to 18 yrs.Currently in the roading industry.

Married with 2 kids and working in Hawera for Fonterra. Have good memories from 83. Playing 1st xv rugby. Our Fiji trip, those 2 minute cjhange parades, and braving the worst that Waiouru could throw at us on Graduation Day. Recognise names on the website.. Would be good to see a few more particvularly from 2 Pl reunion coming up 08. Will be good to catch up with Rennie Class mates. |
