M.D. Flattery (Parkinson class)
I left the army in 1989 and after five years on the staff of Massey university in Palmerston North and Albany campus, I spent five years as executive officer at Orewa college, living at Red Beach. The last five years I have spent in Mt Maunganui as manager of Ocean Shores retirement village. I now have four grandchildren with my daughter still in Palmerston North and son in Waiuku. I attended the Parkinson class reunion in February 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed catching up with other "clubbies", staff and especially "the rock", Tiny Hill. Flattery, Hammond, Manson and Gilbert have continued to get together here in Mt Maunganui for repeats of the "grudge" game of golf they played at the reunion. Having been both a cadet and staff member, I have very fond memories of both periods at the RF Cadet School. Really enjoyed Cadet School was one of the hardest yet rewarding things I have ever done. Left went to artillery for four years and then joined the Police 1996. Have recently left the Police January 2007 and am now working with some of the Police's finest young Juvenile offenders hoping drastically I can lead them into a career in the Armed Forces. Have a wife and 3 kids. One thing I miss is the bonds and friendships I made they still exist these days and I know I have true friends for life.

CJ Fremlin: Ardagh and Weir 1968 - 69 I came all the way from Nasinu village, four miles from Suva, Fiji. to RSM the Army Schools NZ. A unique military history taking in Clerk All Arms, Rifleman, Trooper NZSAS, Instructor RNZIR, Manager Administration along the way. Service with a range of units and all over the place. Corps Service was with RNZIR and NZSAS. Regret had to leave the service in 1995 due to medical complications - for those who know me - I think I am still FIGHTING fit. Sons have represented NZ in sports, youngest in the NZ Army at this time. Life is great! presently, farming, MOE Education Adviser, Community Rep on many organisations, several designed to promote positive development for young people up to age 16. Living out in the bush and away from everything. Wanting to visit, just give me a call. Please note I do have a cell phone but it is never on. I was the very last RSM of the Army Schools because, in 1994, the unit was split to Army Logistics Centre and Army Combat Centre. Then became the first RSM of the Army Combat Centre for a short while before the doctors took over. Regards, Frem. fremlin@igrin.co.nz (0943 95827 or 0943 94347) | ||

Fyfee Fyfe (Firth class)
Gidday Ex-Clubbies I'm proud to have been a member of the Class of '82' although we had to wear the Red beret for an extra year because of my age, but we had a great bunch of guys as second year cadets '83'. Retired in Christchurch after a 22 year military career having served from Papakura to Burnham and most places in between and some overseas. Like most ex-cadets I had a varied career as a tradesman, trade instructor, Trade WO, regimental and operations role all which gave me an appreciable skill base for what I do now. Took up a role in sports as a Coaching and Development Manager after leaving the Army in 2004 and currently General Manager, Canterbury Rugby League. Attended the 1988 and 1998 Cadet reunions and hope to catch with a few of you over a pint in 2008. Still married after 18 years to a soldier, Karen, who is currently the Army Recruiting WO for South Island, with two teenage children. Regards duanemfyfe@hotmail.com
